Bar Cart Styling – Kitting it Out for Cocktail Hour.

A couple of weeks back, I posted about our visit to the distillery Archie Rose, read about it here.

It got me thinking about my bar at home. Now we were the lucky recipients of a Parker drinks trolley, all thanks to the brilliant Tony, a passionate mid century furniture restorer. We bought an amazing Parker dining table and chairs from him, see it in my post here, and he was kind enough to chuck in the drinks trolley for free.

Overseas Homewares, My Top 5 Online Shops

Now I am not sure if you’ve worked it out yet, buy I am a complete and utter shopping nut. None more so then when it is for homewares.

The Citizenry

I love some of the products available here in Australia, but find the same products find their way into all shops, meaning finding something a little bit different can be a challenge. That is why I turn a lot to Etsy.

But what about overseas stores?

We have been lucky in the last few years to have had some international homewares stores open their doors here, including West Elm, H&M and Zara Home. But while we wait for more to come, thank god for the internet!!!!

A Colour Cure (Trends) by Dulux Australia – issuu

I do love visiting the local hardware store and checking out paint chips. I cannot deny that I am a colour fan whether that be in my wardrobe or interiors.

Check out Dulux’s colour trend forecast for 2017 below.

Being a colour fanatic I am drawn to the bolder colours of the Chroma palette.

One thing I did notice is that maybe they jumped the gun a little as there wasn’t a single sign of Pantone’s colour of the year to be seen!!!

When I first came to Australia over twelve years ago, the range of homewares available was limited and unvarying.

Our close to proximity to Asia meant that a lot on offer was inspired by Thai and Balinese designs, especially as these were and still are popular holiday destinations for Australians.

Life In-style, Sydney Feb 2016 Round Up

So as promised here is my round up of the Life Instyle trade show.

Once again held at the Hall of Industries in the Entertainment quarter, this saw some big names (in Australia) promoting the show and their products, including Greg Natale and Jason Grant. Let me point out now, that I saw neither!!!  😔😔😔

Now I will be honest and say, that I did kinda by pass the Kids Instyle area. I don’t really have much of a call to really stop there and well, I had somewhere else to be!!!!

And so into the fold my friends!!
