Bar Cart Styling – Kitting it Out for Cocktail Hour.

A couple of weeks back, I posted about our visit to the distillery Archie Rose, read about it here.

It got me thinking about my bar at home. Now we were the lucky recipients of a Parker drinks trolley, all thanks to the brilliant Tony, a passionate mid century furniture restorer. We bought an amazing Parker dining table and chairs from him, see it in my post here, and he was kind enough to chuck in the drinks trolley for free.

Getting Summer Ready!! Outside Inspiration.

Whilst the Northern hemisphere is looking to rug up and get cozy for the on coming winter season, us lucky peeps in the south are getting ready for the summer. Whether that be burning the calories at the gym to get the beach body going or shopping for the ultimate summer wardrobe.

My mind turns to the all important outdoor space. Now our apartment is not blessed with a massive outdoor space, it is a good size compared to some in Sydney, we have a wicker two seater and armchairs and a modest number of pots. So it is cozy and functional. And on those hot summer evenings it can be the perfect spot to watch the sun go down (west facing) with a cold beverage or two!!

You know that time, when you have got it home and you just can’t help but smile at it because it makes you happy to own it???

My Bathroom is Trying to Tell Me Something.

At the moment I am focusing on two rooms in our apartment. The master bedroom still needs a chair re-upholstered and new window dressings and the study needs a new sofa bed, lighting and also window dressings. The hold up on this comes down to one big factor, money. Like a lot of people we do not have an limitless budget.

Which is fine, Rome wasn’t built in a day!!!

So imagine my shock and slight horror when I woke up to this!!!!!

Naughty or Nice??? My Christmas Wish List for Home

And here we are again, slap bang in the middle of that crazy holiday season that is Christmas. It just keeps on sneaking up sooner and sooner, but that may have more to do with some of the big stores putting out their Christmas decorations in September, yes you read right, September.

K-mart and Target I am pointing my finger at you!!!

Now I consider myself to have been a very good girl this year, there isn’t any conceivable reason why a visit from Santa isn’t on the cards.

Study Organisation – The Before and After

Study Organisation - The Before and After

Just as one project draws to a close and so another one starts.

Our master bedroom makeover is nearly at an end and so my focus has now shifted to our study / guest room.

As mentioned in my previous post about sofa beds (click here to get up to speed) this space needs to be multi-functional, it needs to function as a study, a guest bedroom and a second sitting room.

Once thing it was lacking was storage space.
