Mood boards are the one of the tools designers use in putting together a concept. It is used in the early stages of a design to help communicate a proposed concept.
They are often the first visual impression a client will have of what direction and style an interior is heading.
Aside from that, they are also a very useful tool for the designer to refer back to throughout a design project to ensure they are meeting the requirements laid out in the original client brief.
So although it just looks like a fun activity that you would have done at school, it is actually a really important stage in the design process.
Below are some of my mood boards, some have gone on for further development into a full blown concepts and well, some didn’t.
